Wave Nature of Light

Light or visible light is electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye, and is responsible for the sense of sight. Visible light has wavelength in a range from about 380 nanometres to about 740 nm, with a frequency range of about 405 THz to 790 THz. Two slits are made one millimetre apart and the screen is placed one metre away. What is the fringe separation when blue-green light of wavelength 500 nm is used?

What is the effect on the interference fringes in a Young’s double-slit experiment due to each of the following operations:
(a) the screen is moved away from the plane of the slits;
